The Apopka Fair

So.... Uh... I visited the Apopka Fair at Kit Land Nelson Park in Apopka, Florida for the first time ever....? yay?

This was my first fair exclusively by Paradise Amusements.
(I had seen them do a collaborated Midway elsewhere, last year)
Giant Wheel built by Expo Wheels. I didn't ride it here, but I've ridden this one before... And the ride experience can be summed up with one word. Cheap.
Surf City walk through Funhouse.
Haunted Mansion, a tiny walk through haunt. The actual 'show' building wasn't even half the length of the facade.
""Speed Freak"" Himalaya.
Not sure who built this or where it came from... But I had seen it once before at the Lake County Fair.
The people riding it seemed to be having a good time. haha.
 Odd.
The ARM Vertigo was probably the newest and best kept piece at the fair.
The Technical Park Street Fighter looked like it had seen better days.
(Skipped it here, but I have ridden this exact one elsewhere)
Chance Wipeout.
Super Slide
Wisdom Area 51 gravatron ride.
ARM 1001 Nachts
.....and now for the one ride... I did ride.
Behold, the China Dragon!
A Wisdom built Orient Express coaster.
And since it was a new for me... It became coaster #925....!
(....just 75 till I hit 1000!)
((I should feel ashamed of myself, but I'm not))
Totally worth it.
Totally.
Also, also, I won this fantastic 'Poop Emoji' hat from the Water Gun Fun game.... Because, well, I'm an adult... Or something.

Uh, woo?

Uh... Pig on the Pond?

Uh... So there's this thing called Pig on the Pond that been happening in Clermont, FL for the past 20 years... And... I had never even heard of it until a few weeks ago... But since there was a carnival midway.. I felt the need the check it out.
(Maybe a bonus coaster? hm. but sadly, there was none to be found.)

So uh, yeah... Pig on the Pond.
Oink?
The event was surprisingly busy.
And featured live music and BBQ....
as well as a small ride midway.
Was my first time seeing a 'full size' Expo Wheel.
Having only ridden the slightly smaller version of it a year ago at the Lake County Fair.
Wisdom built Silver Streak mini Himalaya.
ARM built Rock Star.
Wisdom built full sized Himalaya.
Sellner /Larson built Funnel Force.
and... a Hrubetz built Round-Up
woo.

(hey look, an update... after like... half a year of me being lazy, sorry about that. Not like anyone really sees any of these.. ha)

Central Florida Fair..... With Nolan

Well, yeah, Central Florida Fair... with Nolan.
So..... I found out Nolan (born/raised in Metro-Orlando....) had never been to the Central Florida Fair, IE: Orlando's fair. In fact he had never been to any fair!
So while this fair had nothing new for me as far as the ride lineup goes, it was kinda neat going with someone who had never been on or even seen most of these rides before. yaayyy
So here we are... The Central Florida Fair.
While the Midway seems to continue to shrink in size, sadly
Wade Shows still puts on a fantastic event.
The MegaDrop was the first...and last ride we rode
(and some 5 other times in between!)
I'd never done Wade's Wipeout.. And Nolan seemed to like it
(while making some amusing faces)
So we rode it twice..
Fighter was here, I had skipped it a few weeks earlier at the Florida State Fair.
Good LORD this ride has fallen apart. The arms didn't even swing around... So it just kinda spun you around. What happened to this Mondial beast?!
Hidden behind Fighter was Kick Flip, the Larson High Roller <3
((Car Crash : THE RIDE))
They had some BS rule where it needed X-Number of riders to run this year...
So we only got one ride, barely.
Zyklon has been repainted and renamed Crazy Cat. It was running nicely and looked rather nice.
It was one of two adult coasters at the fair.

RC-48 being the other, seemed to be running better than it was at the
Florida State Fair, if there is such a thing as....better
Pirate was back again, only my second time seeing it
:D swinging ships :D
Ugh, White Water. It might look like it was a nice day... but it was rather cold.
And not just "Florida Cold" but like, actual cold. And yeah... we still rode it :/
So we went for a spin-dry-ride on the Gravatron.
It ended up being one of the most fun rides I've have on one in a long while... despite the fact I was offered weed while riding it by some random guy....
Spin Out, ridden twice...
Got to watch an iPhone fly away and smash on our second ride.
Zipper, also ridden twice <3
Hit-In-2000!
ALSO ridden twice!...
I still love the looks of this ride, even if it was missing almost all its neon at the CFF. :(
DLR hoodie VS. WDW hoodie.
Not planned but slightly amused us.
Cuckoo Haus... we did it real quick to kill time before PIG RACING!
Vertigo, and such. Hey guess what, yeah, ridden twice...
By this point I should have just said we rode pretty much everything twice
Everything... but this. I guess after having the Huss Fly Away near me, a Dartron Cliffhanger doesn't cut it.
(I would have skipped it all together if not for Nolan wanted to ride)
Hey look, downtown Orlando!
 ¡¿noʎ ǝɹɐ ǝɹǝɥʍ 'ɟɟǝſ
Mmhmm....
So yeah, my fourth trip to the Central Florida Fair was rather fun. I'm already excited for next years fair!
Woooooooo!!!!!

Bahbahbah, so I'm gonna play around with this "schedule" feature on blogger and make something else I crapped-out just right now post in a few days to act like I'm activity blogging or something. I don't know. At the end of my posts is where I just kinda go off and ramble because outside of maybe five people I don't think anyone is even reading this... So why not ramble!

Sanford Harvest Festival....fair.........thing

So.... while driving out to the Volusia County Fair with Jeff we passed signs for a Fall Harvest Festival in Sanford.. a quick phone check confirmed there would be rides.... So while Volusia was more than enough to satisfy any fair goer.... we finished there rather quick and opted for a chance for...uh....more... rides. To the Festival we go! woo

Ok, enough intro, onto a few random photos of rides we didn't even ride (although having been to other fairs with the same showman, Carol Stream Amusements, we've ridden the Mulligan Sea Ray, SBF Drop Tower, and the Tivoli Orbiter in the past
LETS GO!
Carol Stream is pretty neat, mostly older, classic rides but all well kept and nice looking.
  Got a Tilt-a-Whirl
 Round-Up
And the only "old school" looking Scooters I've ever seen travailing.
The Tornado seems to be one of the "newer" rides in their lineup.
Along with their Cliffhanger, named Hang Glider.... AND its not painted green for once!
The Mulligan Sea Ray they move was the first one I ever rode, back in 2010 and one of only two I've been on
(although I've seen a third and skipped it...)
Musik Express! Much like the one Sam Pino used to move in Massachusetts back in the day
Lovely LED covered Chance Wheel and the Orbiter in front of it
 Woo, pretty LED's
 annddd, the Orbiter.
 Typhoon...thing
Oh, and they've got a Wisdom coaster too! (one that I've never even tried to ride...)
 ((IE: NOT a credit whore...))
also...
also..
also.
Ducks!

I don't know, maybe if I ever don't get too lazy... I'll get around to posting some California...Wisconsin...Texas...Louisiana....uhh.. other...stuff from this year... or stuff.
