Queens Zoo :3

Because... Animals.
(and the fact none of the area coasters I came to ride were open yet)

Woo, The Queens Zoo!
Uh, my first NYC Zoo?
The Zoo is a pretty small, basically being a ring along one main pathway with the petting zoo being across the street. uh, pathway.
Flowers.. and stuff.
The Zoo had some surprisingly nice landscaping, almost like a garden that featured animals.
And even a misting area to cool off at.
Oh.. and um, also... animals.
Like this herd of American Bison
And this Sassy Bird
Sea Lions and their pool.
Sleepy sleepy time for Mr. Sea Lion
Worlds Fair leftover.
The Scarlet Macaw
Roosevelt Elk
And um.. Lady Elk? maybe?
Miss Puma didn't seem to happy to see me...
(she probably wanted to eat me)
 'Murica
Oh, its like I'm back home.. Only they aren't just in the parking lot for Magic Kingdom...
(Nah, Disney removes them before they get that big... most of the time)
Oh man! A Sandhill Crane!!!
<3
(Also, I don't think I've ever seen one.. uh.. sitting before)
AKA, doing the 'butt thing' :D
<3 quack... quack.. quack :V :V
Andean Bear!
I had no idea they even had a bear here until I saw the map :D
Coyote
King Goat?
llallamamas... and stuff.
Moo?! Moo indeed!
See, some Texas Long-Moo's

Wait, there was a coaster an hour from me I hadn't ridden?

Andretti Thrill Park, who knew?
So my friend Matt was down in Florida visiting family, he happened to stop by Andretti Thrill Park to play some mini-golf before dinner with his family and ended up discovering a new coaster that had just recently opened in Melbourne, Florida. It wasn't listed on RCDB nor were there any sort of references to the ride at the time. Matt sent me a text if I knew anything about it and I hadn't. Shocked and horrified there was a coaster so close to me and I hadn't ridden it yet, the first chance Jeff and I got to drive out to Melbourne... we stopped at Andretti and got our credit, that turned out to be much more than a +1.
Woo, Andretti Thrill Park!
It's uh... thrilling?
The main entrance is also a pretty basic arcade, with ride tickets paid for at the redemption counter in back.
Oh man! Where they had this amazing Duck Lamp as a prize!
There was also a neat (small) looking Ropes Course built above the arcade.
Outside, was a pretty nice mini-golf course
And it was included with the armband so we played a round.
These paddle boats, that we skipped, were also on the armband.
Uh... a Rock Wall, the Andretti Edge.
Oh and they had 5 go kart tracks (4 adult and 1 kids)
((although one of the adult tracks was an up-charge and not on the armband))
We rode the 2 bigger (included) tracks.
It was very intense.... or maybe just for her.
The Super Speedway track.
Batting Cages
They also had this little street train.
I think we only saw it go past once... but the owners of Andretti must love the thing....
Because they own THREE of them!
haha
The F1 Track
Little play area...
And um, a random tea cup ride
And mini flying swings, hidden away toward the back of the complex.
From the mini-golf, the parks old actual miniature train track was still visible. It made a loop behind the golf course and into a tunnel by the boat pool. most of the tracks had been ripped up but a few were still in place along the back fence. I wonder what kind of train it was... since there is so little info on the place.
(and I'm sure it was way better than their current train)
And most exciting of all... The fantastic Andretti Family Coaster!
This SBF/Visa built Spinning Coaster might not look like much.. but if you get an unbalanced car... You'll experience the most spinning on a spinning coaster I've come across so far!
Each cycle gives you 4 or 5 laps around the track, and the car just doesn't stop spinning.
Tire Boost lift hill
I'd be totally fine with Fun Spot adding one of these to both of their parks.
(I also think it'd make a pretty awesome enclosed/dark ride coaster)
haha, yeesss... We must have ridden it a good six times during our short visit.
And... if you'd like to see how much the damn thing spins.. just check out my Vine POV here!
