The Lovely KMG High Swing

Yup, I got to ride the semi-temperamental KMG High Swing, Sky Swing, 200 foot tall portable Swing Tower at the 2013 Florida Strawberry Festival. It was fun....
here's way toooo many photos of it.

Sky Swing.... Swing Tower!
Oooh.... I'm excited!
At the top of the nearly 200 foot tower.
Ah... Sky Swing.... towering over the rest of the midway.
I guess it's... The New Tourist Attraction.
Yeah, I wasn't kidding when I said it towered over the midway!
Ha, the ARM Vertigo swing tower looks soooo tiny from up here!
(The Yellow tower on the right)
Its very smooth and quite.
But there were speakers mounted on the lift unit.... they didn't seem to play any audio so I'm not sure what they were for...
(also, check out the naughty bits)
 Weeeeeee
Long way down.
Sky Swing! yaayyyyy
 Top of the fair!
Ah, sunset... Almost time for some night rides :D
Sweet
The ride is very classy looking at night....
but I kinda wished it had some colors on it.
yaayyy night rides! Swinging high over Plant City.
Pretty...
Ah, after some six rides on it... I'm a fan of the ride... And I hope it sticks around (it is/was up for sale)... and had a pretty rough first season here in the States... Hoping 2013 goes better for it and that Sky Attractions, Inc. hangs on to it. I'd hate to loose such a massive/impressive ride. The only really negative thing I can say about the ride is the seats/lapbar arnt very forgiving. I saw more than a few people get "walk of shamed" off it.. And even I had a harder time getting the lapbar to lock.. But only in SOME seats, not all?  Not sure what was up with that.
(AND JEFF RIPPED HIS PANTS OPEN ON IT!)
..............
Oh hey, its me.

Counting Counties // Wasting Gas

I blame Jamminj
Random post time... Ok, so, I've started "County Counting" just another pointless thing to keep track of and keep count of. As if Coasters, States, and Countries weren't enough... Anyways  Mr.JamminJ found this site that lets you tick-off your visited counties and makes a map for you.. After a few hours over a week or so.... My map looks something like this....
Some 27 years of traveling and countless miles driven, with more on the horizon. I feel pretty accomplished. Oh, and here's a link to Jay's map....

Ok, so here we go....
After a rained out weekend here in the Sunshine State... I set off on a quest to add one (3) more Floridan counties (and complete my southern FL ones while at it!) but to make it worth while I also visited a beautiful state park that I'll post about laters... yeah
So the blue counties I've been to.. Yellow have now been added... and well... the grey ones are on the to-do list I guess. Damn
Ok, lets start county counting!
So we start at Orange County, where I live in Orlando. Woo!
Armadillo live here too!!!
Osceola County is up next...
Lets keep driving....
Into Polk County we go!
Where I rolled 18781 miles in my car!
To get to Highlands County! (+1)
And spend the morning exploring Highlands Hammock State Park in Sebring, FL.
(real Florida - CHECK)
Here's where things got... interesting, kinda.
Highlands was really all I had planned but after looking at my GPS and a map.. I decided to make a run for just one more county to the south.
Glades County! (+1)
Where the police don't seem to care I'm taking a photo...
And where they have BEARS for the next 12 miles, at least.
and then by pure accident... to get gas (after my GPS sent us to a now-closed gas station in Lake Placid, FL....)
Hendry County (+1)
See, gas! yaayyy... in LaBelle, FL.
And its about this point where I realize I'm some 150 miles from home. oops.

BONUS PHOTOS VIA TWITTER! :O

The closed "open" tower in Lake Placid, FL

So yeah, County Counting....  Right now I have 574 known counties on my map, I've found a few here and there that somehow I miss clicked and didn't add (or as I've checked maps from past trips and found some) but I'm hoping to hit 600 by years end and well, with at least one new state in this summers plans... I hope to reach my pointless self-set goal! Yaayyy!

Central Florida Fair..... With Nolan

Well, yeah, Central Florida Fair... with Nolan.
So..... I found out Nolan (born/raised in Metro-Orlando....) had never been to the Central Florida Fair, IE: Orlando's fair. In fact he had never been to any fair!
So while this fair had nothing new for me as far as the ride lineup goes, it was kinda neat going with someone who had never been on or even seen most of these rides before. yaayyy
So here we are... The Central Florida Fair.
While the Midway seems to continue to shrink in size, sadly
Wade Shows still puts on a fantastic event.
The MegaDrop was the first...and last ride we rode
(and some 5 other times in between!)
I'd never done Wade's Wipeout.. And Nolan seemed to like it
(while making some amusing faces)
So we rode it twice..
Fighter was here, I had skipped it a few weeks earlier at the Florida State Fair.
Good LORD this ride has fallen apart. The arms didn't even swing around... So it just kinda spun you around. What happened to this Mondial beast?!
Hidden behind Fighter was Kick Flip, the Larson High Roller <3
((Car Crash : THE RIDE))
They had some BS rule where it needed X-Number of riders to run this year...
So we only got one ride, barely.
Zyklon has been repainted and renamed Crazy Cat. It was running nicely and looked rather nice.
It was one of two adult coasters at the fair.

RC-48 being the other, seemed to be running better than it was at the
Florida State Fair, if there is such a thing as....better
Pirate was back again, only my second time seeing it
:D swinging ships :D
Ugh, White Water. It might look like it was a nice day... but it was rather cold.
And not just "Florida Cold" but like, actual cold. And yeah... we still rode it :/
So we went for a spin-dry-ride on the Gravatron.
It ended up being one of the most fun rides I've have on one in a long while... despite the fact I was offered weed while riding it by some random guy....
Spin Out, ridden twice...
Got to watch an iPhone fly away and smash on our second ride.
Zipper, also ridden twice <3
Hit-In-2000!
ALSO ridden twice!...
I still love the looks of this ride, even if it was missing almost all its neon at the CFF. :(
DLR hoodie VS. WDW hoodie.
Not planned but slightly amused us.
Cuckoo Haus... we did it real quick to kill time before PIG RACING!
Vertigo, and such. Hey guess what, yeah, ridden twice...
By this point I should have just said we rode pretty much everything twice
Everything... but this. I guess after having the Huss Fly Away near me, a Dartron Cliffhanger doesn't cut it.
(I would have skipped it all together if not for Nolan wanted to ride)
Hey look, downtown Orlando!
 ¡¿noʎ ǝɹɐ ǝɹǝɥʍ 'ɟɟǝſ
Mmhmm....
So yeah, my fourth trip to the Central Florida Fair was rather fun. I'm already excited for next years fair!
Woooooooo!!!!!

Bahbahbah, so I'm gonna play around with this "schedule" feature on blogger and make something else I crapped-out just right now post in a few days to act like I'm activity blogging or something. I don't know. At the end of my posts is where I just kinda go off and ramble because outside of maybe five people I don't think anyone is even reading this... So why not ramble!
